Passover, 2009

Judy’s Pet Palace of Huber Heights, Ohio hosted this years Passover Seder.

Judy’s Pet Palace is a Chartered Victory Gathering of Victory Family Care Ministries and it was the third year for Judy and her husband Kevin, who are also Founding Members of Victory Family Care Ministries, to host the Seder.

What began in their home with a few friends and family was moved to the Fellowship Hall of Triumphant Cross in Trotwood because of this year’s number of attendees.

For many of the attendees, this was their first Passover Seder, and the host’s did not disappoint them. The tables were set with brass Seder plates, A Menorah with the Grafted In Symbol, candles, and flowers. Each attendee was furnished with their own specially prepared Haggadah explaining the steps of the Seder with all its Hebrew roots and traditions, blending the significance of Christ with emphasis. “  The Seder began at sundown with the blowing of the Shofar.

Between the Dayenu and the Afikomen, the Passover Supper was served. The menu, prepared by Judy and her sister Brenda included lamb, chicken, potatoes, gravy, corn, peas, matzo balls, fruits, deserts and beverages.

“The food was absolutely delicious. The entire experience was incredible, but I was especially moved with the third cup, the Cup of Redemption. In the first two cups, we experienced the cost at which redemption was purchased. Lives were sacrificed to bring about the release of God’s people from the slavery of Egypt. But with the third cup, we experienced a far greater price purchased for our redemption from slavery to sin – the death of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. We were all moved when we dipped our fingers seven times into the third cup, each time, remembering how our Lord bled seven times”, said Den Fennessy, Senior Minister of Victory Family Care Ministries.
