Why
Creation Therapy Works
Creation Therapy
works when other counseling methods fail. Why? Because rather than spending session after
session in an attempt to correct "symptoms," the counselor follows a
step-by-step counseling procedure developed to "target" the source of the
problem(s).
Another reason why
Creation Therapy works is because the counselor provides the counselee with a
session-by-session plan so they will know, in advance, what to expect at each session.
Providing the counselee with a "plan of action" cuts down on cancellations
because it removes the fear of the unknown. In addition, it provides an immediate sense of
stability and renewed hope that "there is a plan -- a course of action has been
developed -- everything is going to be okay."
Lay persons
and members of the clergy and other professionals who take and complete this training,
will:
Learn what causes
relationship conflicts and how to resolve them.
Learn the secrets of
human behavior and how God's wonderful plan works when understood and applied.
Learn a very
successful five-step method for counseling those who turn to them for help.
Qualify
to administer the [ Arno Profile System ] which identifies an individual's
"inborn" temperament rather than their behavior. This information helps the
counselor identify the core problem and aid the counselee in problem resolution.
What makes
Creation Therapy (APS) superior to other Temperament Models?
The Creation
Therapy Model identifies the counselee's temperament in three areas: Inclusion
(social), Control (decision making) and Affection (intimate relationships). Although
many counselors use a similar questionnaire, the A.P.S. provides an extensive clinical
report on the individual being tested. This report greatly exceeds the traditional
results.

Recently I read a quote from a man named Gordon Smith. He said, “Our
unique calling will be based on our gifts and abilities, will grow out of our deepest
desires and will always involve some response to the needs of the world.”
For me, Creation Therapy is the vehicle
God is using to get me there. I’ve learned so much about my temperament and now have
a clearer understanding of why I do the things I do. I am looking forward to ministering
the A.P.S. report to others so they too can grow in their relationship with others and,
most importantly, in their relationship with God.
