Arno Profile System

             Helping Excellent Christian Counselors.......
                                       Become Superior Christian Counselor
s

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvelous are thy works"

Psalm 139:14

"We are fearfully and wonderfully made by God who created the Heavens and the earth, and we are very special and unique. The Arno Profile System is the key that will give you a better understanding of this uniqueness. The A.P.S. will help you understand why people do the things they do and act the way they act.

The A.P.S. in a new approach to counseling that deals with the inner man rather than outer manifestations or problems. It identifies the "hidden" problems and helps you successfully counsel those who turn to you for help.

We receive letters everyday from Christian leaders, ministers, and professional Christian counselors who tell us that becoming A.P.S. Certified has changed their lives. For the first time, they are genuinely helping people resolve their problems.

"We know that using the Arno Profile System will help you fulfill the calling that God has placed on your life."

What is the Arno Profile System?

The Arno Profile System (A.P.S.™) report is a personal identification/inventory -- an eight page computerized report that is ONLY provided for:

  • Christian Leaders

  • Christian Lay Persons

  • Professional Christian Counselors

  • Ordained Ministers

The counselor gives the counselee (the person who is being helped) a questionnaire called an A.P.S. Response Form which includes 54 questions; and takes the counselee about eight minutes to complete. The responses are processed locally or sent to the Clinical Supervisor or Instructor and the A.P.S. report is generated.

The counselor receives more information about the counselee that he or she could possibly collect (learn) about the counselee in eight or ten counseling sessions. It opens up and helps the counselor target or identify the counselee's hidden problems

What are the benefits?

Christian leaders, lay persons, ministers, and professional Christian counselors who take and complete the A.P.S. certification course, Creation Therapy, learn:

  • what causes relationship conflicts and how to resolve them.

  • the secrets of human behavior and how God's wonderful plan works when understood and applied.

  • a very successful five-step method for counseling those who turn to them for help.

  • to administer the Arno Profile System. This system identifies an individual's in-born, God given temperament rather than their behavior. The information helps the Christian counselor identify the hidden or core problems so he or she can aid the counselee in problem resolution.

How accurate is the evaluation?

The Arno Profile System (A.P.S.) used in this temperament analysis has been developed and tested by Dr.'s Phyllis and Richard Arno since 1983 for the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of the therapeutic procedure in office and online counseling. Over the past eighteen years, multiple testing and research have produced an accuracy rate of approximately 93% in identifying an individuals correct temperament.

  • No significant variations were found as a result of race or cultural differences.

  • No significant variations were found as a result of temporary mood swings.

  • Persons tested who were under the influence of drugs or alcohol, however, have been proven to be invalid.

What will I learn from the evaluation?

Why Do I Do The Things I Do?

The A.P.S. identifies three separate human interactions and identifies each one in two different ways:

  • Inclusion (social orientation and intellectual energies)

  • Expressed: What we say we want

  • Wanted: What we really want

  • Control (ability to make decisions and desire to take on responsibilities)

  • Expressed: What we say we want

  • Wanted: What we really want

  • Affection (interaction in deep relationships)

  • Expressed: What we say we want

  • Wanted: What we really want

What are the different Temperament Types?

Traditionally there have been four temperaments discovered:

  • Melancholy - has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, prone to genius, very creative, mind tends to work overtime, going over and over events of the past, needs alone time to regroup.

  • Sanguine - fun loving, will leave in the middle of a chore or assignment if they find out there is something fun going on somewhere, never wants to grow up, stressed out if there are not places to go and people to see.

  • Choleric - a drive to greatness, but will step on your toes to get there, needs lots of appreciation along the way.

  • Phlegmatic - quite stubborn and set in his ways, uncomfortable with confrontation and seeks peace at all costs to avoid strife, feels he needs sleep to regroup but never gets enough, very annoying to the Choleric as this is the one temperament that cannot be coerced into doing something if they don't want to.

  • During Drs. Arno research they discovered a fifth temperament, the Supine. The Supine is unique to the Arno Profile System.

  • Supine - one who loves to do things for people and enjoys people, but is very indirect and shy about letting this be known.
